Got my first mass mailing against Newsom's redistricting bill today here in CA

The first of many I assume. We are going to be hit with a wave of billionaire money trying to kill this. That is why all Dems need to surround and support Newsom and his bill now. I hope Obama visits CA. We're gonna need all the help we can get.

They own the TV networks, the newspapers, the biggest social media sites and they have literally billions to throw at this. Polls show the redistricting initiative ahead by 20 points. That won’t last. This fight is going to get so dirty!

At the moment I don’t know where to put my money but I’m going to figure it out and dig as deep as I can to give our side a fighting chance

The first thing I’m doing is calling and texting the California League of Women voters and let them know that a no recommendation regarding the initiative is a terrible, terrible idea. The anti initiative people have already sent out a giant mass mailing to Californios that contains lies and misrepresentations of the Leagues position. The anti forces are playing dirty already

I will call and let them know that they are being used by the far right (don't know if they care) in their ads already. So disappointed in them, but I think it may backfire. Seems like they are taking sides and the reactions I have heard aren't positive.
