The homeless aren't just a number, they are people, people who have roots where they are, people who are where they are because that's what they know and that's where they can find services.

Homeless people have rights too. They aren't animals to be herded like cattle. They have community, they have friends, they have a sense of belonging where they are. You can't just round up Americans who are down on their luck and ship them off to who knows where.

They have a shelter for the homeless but they won’t let anyone in who has alcohol or drugs in their system and they make them go to right-wing religious services. To work at the shelter you have to be an evangelical.
