The homeless aren't just a number, they are people, people who have roots where they are, people who are where they are because that's what they know and that's where they can find services.

Homeless people have rights too. They aren't animals to be herded like cattle. They have community, they have friends, they have a sense of belonging where they are. You can't just round up Americans who are down on their luck and ship them off to who knows where.

I believe Trump wants to put people in concentration camps.

Look online for interviews with US Senator Alex Padilla, who was piled on in a Los Angeles federal building, where he had business, got thrown to the floor and handcuffed. Look for press conferences with LA Mayor Karen Bass. See what you can find out about the ag fields of Ventura County — Oxnard and Camarillo, especially.

One of our neighbors owns strawberry fields, and he’s told all his workers to park their cars and trucks inside the property line, because that is private property (his) and ICE should provide a warrant — altho personally, I think ICE is by now a bunch of thugs from assorted sources and “they don’t need no stinking badges. “

To the rest of the country outside DU I have this to say: try growing your own perishables henceforth, because the kinds of produce you count on from California and Mexico rot quickly if not harvested on time. Call your backyard a Trump Freedom Garden or something.

I'm sure he also considers it a crime to be any color other than white; to be LGBTQIA+, to be disabled or unhealthy (never mind that he's unhealthy af himself), to be a woman who doesn't meet his personal standards of physical attractiveness, or to speak anything other than English as one's first language (unless you're one of his foreign born wives).

But the worst crime of all is to express any opinion he disagrees with, criticize him in any way, or just generally do anything except bow down and worship him.

All of these things are not against the law yet, but they would be if he could make it so.

They cleared out a place where they had tents and were sleeping. The woods where they stayed are disappearing due to construction. They have a shelter for the homeless but they won’t let anyone in who has alcohol or drugs in their system and they make them go to right-wing religious services. To work at the shelter you have to be an evangelical.

I just didn't know what the precipitating event was that shoved this big a bug up his ass.

You bet he's going to want to evict the "criminal element," anyone with dark skin, so he can turn the city into a white folks' paradise. The pushback on this is going to be absolutely horrendous and not only from the black citizens.

No fault of their own. Sickness, death, financial scams can all destroy lives and make people homeless.
And now Trump will make these unfortunates even more unfortunate.

What do you think is going to happen to them in places that are far away from the cities? I guarantee you it's not going to be a "Fly Like an Eagle" solution. They're going to be test subjects at best and marked for liquidation at worst.
