At the rate Trump is dismantiling our democracy, and the rate that any kind of resistance is actually having some kind of effect, we aren't going to be able to depend on the midterm elections to make a difference.
They are putting together widespread plans to steal the midterm elections, some of it they've already kicked into gear with the garrymandering of Texas that is about to occur. If they are doing that openly, think about what kind of an army they must have ready to steal ballots, cheat ballot counts and throw out ballots to invalidate election results.
This election will be worth about what one is in a third world banana republic.
But let's not rock too many boats, OK. We have Democrats who need to raise money for their re-election who can't be disrutbed.

But that doesn't mean we don't keep trying to make things better/do what is right.
To borrow a phrase from JRR Tolkien's writings, we find ourselves "fighting the long defeat."

They have to be forcibly removed.

(37,432 posts)At a minimum, we have to put up with it until he's out of office. 3 1/2 years at least, until January 2029.
Some of us aren't going to last that long.
