Zelenskyy didn't get where he is by cheating and shady manipulation.

No free elections at the moment with war raging, but Ukrainian people sent Putin's puppet running away to Moscow and elected Zelenskyy freely.

I expect we are going to see horrible retaliation on the day of the supposed peace talk.

Millions of Ukrainian & Russian young men are dead and tens of thousands are brain dead and amputees.

Asking Ukraine to give up only to be fully conquered within a year is not acceptable. Ukraine is not threatening Russia's existence. It is defending it's own. It is their young men and their choice to defend themselves. Besides, why does it matter that Russia has the "most" nuclear weapons? That is old 20th century cold war thinking. India and Pakistan could just as much set off a devastating nuclear war as Russia and Ukraine.

...sense of humor, humor being a trait that only comes from Wisdom and is enhanced, not hindered, by a subtle sense of tragedy.

All these things add up to something with which most people now in power in the United States have no experience: Courage.

it's very sophisticated satire, with echoes of the UK's "Yes, Minister"/"Yes, Prime Minister", and a radical depiction of the graft and inefficency in the Ukrainian regime at that time. The acting and production values are top-rate, as are the scripts.

It's also chilling to see Ukraine depicted in peacetime, in all its beauty, and how much the plot prefigured Zelensky's election. What it missed, obviously, was the second Russian invasion and Zelensky's transformation from a principled politician bewildered and frustrated by the state's dysfunction into a highly effective diplomat and wartime leader. And yes, that courage of his was in plain view when he refused to go into government in exile.
