Politics and culture are intermarried now. How we present ourselves matters. We get tied down in, "You didn't say exactly what I want, and you didn't say it in the exact way I want. Unacceptable." And then we slap around our potential allies (and sometimes our actual allies) for not repeating the message back to us in a pleasing enough manner.

And so our top-down attempts at messaging are like reaching for lube, but oh no, you actually grabbed the icy hot, and now the fuckin's awful.

which we know is very useful in politics not only now, but in the modern era at least.
So who can deliver and excite folks-- they don't need to be the next President, but they need to be out there messaging.
