On the subject of Ukraine it

could well be that Crumb the 1st, with his minerals deal in hand, is now going to let Putin roll as much damage as possible and take as much territory as possible all while Ukraine wonders about that "security" that Crumb the 1st promised. In other words what Crumb The 1st didn't get in the agreement will now be something he's back for with Vlad as his "partner". So if the dust ever settles it can then be Ukraine giving up nearly everything while the butchers split their spoils of war. As others have pointed out it is very questionable this idea of "heated" language coming out of Crumb the 1st.
