I always thought Stephen Miller looked familiar.

This is my 1000th post on DU over a period of over 20 years. Obviously I am not one to post frequently here, but I do read regularly. I was thinking for a long time on what a 1000th post would be. I decided in my case it was not going to significant.

So I was thinking that Stephen Miller has always looked familiar to me. Today I figured why:

That may be the only thing he has in common with Miller.

Klemperer's family fled Nazi Germany in the 1930s. He later served in the US Army in WWII.

Werner Klemperer (March 22, 1920 – December 6, 2000) was an American actor. He was best known for playing Colonel Wilhelm Klink on the CBS television sitcom Hogan’s Heroes —-Wikipedia

Before he agreed to accept the role of Colonel Klink , he made them agree that his character would never be written in a way that would make Klink be regarded as serious. He was always to appear as a buffoon.

He understood the Nazis and didn’t want to ever make them look good. So, always Klink the nincompoop.
