... a new PBS/NPR/Marist poll, conducted between April 21 and 23 among 1,439 adults, shows that Trump's support among rural voters is declining.
According to the poll, just 46 percent of rural voters now approve of Trump's job performance, while 45 percent disapprove. In February, 59 percent approved and 37 percent disapproved.
Trump's approval rating has also declined slightly among urban, small city, and suburban voters. Among big city voters, his approval has dropped from 42 percent to 40 percent. Among small city voters, his approval has dropped from 42 percent to 36 percent.
Meanwhile, among suburban voters, his approval rating has declined by 1 point to 40 percent. The only group that Trump has seen a rise in support from is small town voters, with 53 percent now approving of his job performance, up from 46 percent in February. (34,607 posts)This is old crap and you are the most unhelpful kind of Democrat. You want it changed don't do this and go DO something that works. If you have not ever looked there is a lot of change to be made if you just put yourself there to help and not present yourself as the savior.
This is just old crap, over used and weak. Think for real solutions and as as I know from experience this is not how you do that.

(66,437 posts)There's a fairly high margin of error, though.
Still, I'd like to know what the small town voters like about Trump that their rural and suburban counterparts don't like.

(5,758 posts)Doubt most new voters in small towns keep up with actual news. The ones I knew in a small town were mostly about getting a car and driving around in circles. Asked a couple of them if they ever considered driving in a line instead, and getting out of the town with nothing for them to do but drive around in circles.

(66,437 posts)I agree. I'm thinking that disinformation is a big cause. Nothing Trump has done until now has affected them directly. Faux News says all is well.
That changes today when the stuff they buy online suddenly gets 145% surcharge added from the tariffs.
