Incredible stuff here. Trump’s decided he’s now in charge of the 20th century. May 8th has been Victory in Europe Day since 1945. It’s literally recognized across NATO nations and was declared by President Truman after Hitler offed himself in a bunker. But sure, let’s “rename” it like it’s a failing casino.
And November 11th? That’s been Veterans Day since 1954, after originally being called Armistice Day to mark the end of WWI. But history is tough when your only war story is bravely surviving the draft with bone spurs diagnosed by a podiatrist who rented office space from your dad.
“We don’t celebrate anything” he says. This is the guy who turned the 4th of July into a flexing contest with tanks on the National Mall like he was compensating for losing the Revolutionary War to a salad.
Next he’ll rename D-Day to T-Day and claim he personally stormed Omaha Beach with a golf cart and a Big Mac.

Who needs veterans when you have a raping. God I can’t wait until this orange POS is gone so we can put everything back to the way it was. He made many day one promises on the campaign trail and has not lived up to a one; yet he has time to rename things like holidays and bodies of water. Could you imagine if Biden was doing this? The Republicans would be all over it!

Our party better step up their game. This is untenable where he thinks he can just "proclaim" something and that's it. Or his ridiculous ruling by executive order.
