Just called @DavidHogg111. He reminded me of
the story of, after the battle of Shiloh, Henry Halleck urged President Lincoln to fire Ulysses Grant. Lincoln said: "I can't fire him. This man fights."David Hogg fights. The DNC needs him.

Well, that's quite a turnaround. Seems David Hogg was able to tame an old cranky dog.

Overall?

Good on both of them. We need less intraparty fighting, not more.

It was Mary Todd Lincoln’s half-brother (Samuel B. Todd) that died.

Anyway, this was such a weird “Did you know…?” moment, I thought you history buffs would be interested, too.

(I’m happy to have the Carville quote, “David Hogg fights. The DNC needs him.” That’ll come in handy.)
