Jen Psaki Mocks Chuck Schumer's 'Very Strong' Letter to Trump

Psaki, a former White House press secretary and now an MSNBC host, joined Colbert on The Late Show on Wednesday to promote her new book Say More. When Colbert asked about the Democratic Party’s current “communication” problems, Psaki accused her party of relying on “old tactics.”

“But Chuck Schumer, he wrote a very strong letter,” Colbert sarcastically objected.

“With eight strongly worded questions,” Psaki added. “You left out that part.”

“What more can you ask of a leader?” Colbert asked.

“If that’s not going to make you shake in your boots, I don’t know what it is,” Psaki said.

Time to put a fork in Chuck. Getting ridiculed on national television by his own party.

We can be critical of teh decisionS and actions of democratic party leadership and still support the cause.

In fact, I would argue that criticality is our strength over the blind devotion to party leaders (esepcially magno mussolini) demonstrated by the other party.

I have voted for him every time he was on the ballot. He's been a stalwart Democrat and at times, a powerful leader.

But I have to take exception to his "strongly worded letter." Does the Senator really think Trump can read it or understand it or, frankly, give a shit about what it says? His actions since the November election haven't given me hope, enthusiasm or confidence that our side has plans.

The Democrats are in a weak political position. That doesn't mean we should roll over and die. The tariffs and their inevitable results should provide plenty of ammunition to take to the American people. We need to break through the MAGA bubble or at least reach the independents and possibly some old-school Republicans.

We need more forceful and determined leadership who will put the screws to Trump both politically and in the media. They need to break through the barriers that Republicans have built around Trump. We need a change of tactics or of our leaders. The status quo hasn't stopped Trump or the rest of his clown show that is destroying our once great nation.

Let's see if I get flagged...

But, yeah. Let's write letters.

And before anyone says, "We're powerless! We can't do anything!" I will say, stop spewing bullshit.

This is war. Decorum and the norm need to go out the window. They would lock us all up, and take every cent we have if they could get away with it. Plus they would brainwash your family into thinking its a good thing. We need more go fuck yourself, and less poetry

He’s become a joke.

The irony is he was right asking Biden to drop out of the campaign. Who has the courage to do ask the same of him?
