They have no idea how to move the goalposts so they can pretend to be a functioning branch of the government. The only remedy at this point is impeachment by the House, trial in the Senate, and removal from office after a 2/3 guilty vote.

None of that is going to happen, so they have to find a way to pretend it all still works.

Wouldn't a Constitutional crisis be an attack on the Constitution also? Those that take the oath of office swear to
defend it against all enemies foreign and domestic. No one that has taken that oath past and present has used it as leverage and a shield and go before the floor mic and label the orange convict and musky Domestic Enemies and call for their immediate arrest. It's sickening, but the Government hasgiven themselves the power to round up anyone they claim is a threat, without a warrant, and without so much as a hearing before a judge. They are exercising the power to eject people from the country and improsion them in El Salvador on no charges indefinitely.

But the reason why most people are not alarmed is that they think the color of their own skin will make them immune from this type of treatment. And they are wrong in that.
