2 Magat Senators Are Doing The Work For Democrats

Sens. Bernie Moreno (R-OH) and Josh Hawley (R-MO) both warned the House to lay off Medicaid, particularly two proposals: one that would "cut the federal government’s share of the costs in states that have expanded Medicaid," and the other that would "cap Medicaid expansion spending."

Both ideas amounted to “cutting benefits," "We don’t need to cut benefits. And it actually really infuriates me to hear people here talking about that, because it stresses people out. This is life and death for them."

We should be hearing this from Congressional Democrats in town halls.

Any Democrat who is following Schumer's strategy of letting Krasnov burn it all down is following a losing strategy.

880 billion dollar cuts to Medicaid to provide tax breaks for billionaires. That should be a hill to die on for Democrats.

All of the other cuts, like student loans just to try to offset a 4.7 trillion dollar tax cut for billionaires.

Speaker Johnson is working towards a July 4th House vote for the 4.7 trillion dollar tax break for billionaires. Plenty of time to fight it, I guess.

Go Bernie and AOC and a handful of others.

Go Indivisible, keep organizing those protests.

Sometimes, I catch flack for saying things not generally accepted here as supporting Democrats. We all see the truth only as it filters throughour own experience. One person’s support for change is apparently another person’s idea of not supporting Democrats.

Whatcha gonna do.

3. Cutting Medicaid vs. trillions in tax cuts for the fabulously wealthy should be a no-brainer.

The problem is that we have a lot of no-brainer people out there. Democrats need to hammer this home non-stop. It's actually something we are very good it when we buckle down and do it.

Are they Republicans? Yes.

Are they talking? Yes.

Are they lying? Yes.

Probably an overwhelming majority of white Medicaid recipients have a Trump flag flying at the shack.
It's clear that most house republicans only care about cutting off anyone who isn't a GOP Congressman. (MTG)

The idea is that members and spouses would not be allowed to own or trade individual stocks or sector funds. They could own broad based funds and Treasuries.

Honestly, it would be more performative from Democrats re: such bills. To even align with such actions by introducing a bill, which is so against the MAGA/GOP corrupt brand, is...something. Same with them speaking out about Medicaid.

They suck. They have supported and are aligned with evil, we know that. But this is still interesting, imo.

Await the arrival of more tRumponomics effects. If the stock market declines back into bear market territory, there might be enough small-investor agitation and handwringing that RepubliConners will see an opportunity to con the public into thinking they are doing something.

Because that's what Fox News tells them. Their real purpose has not yet filtered through their thick skulls.

Democrats pulled an all nighter railing against cuts to everything including medicaid. They have been saying so since medicaid cuts were put on the table.
