TCF's tariffs cannot possibly generate on-shoring/re-shoring/resurrection of manufacturing

BECAUSE TCF is the one behind their implementation.

As one may have noticed, barely a day goes by without some story coming out about how TCF has changed this or that about his tariffs. Also supposedly he is negotiating trade deals with hundreds of countries. So to state the obvious: whatever the tariffs are today, they will be different tomorrow, and different again the next day. Because TCF is like that.

Under those circumstances, nobody will invest significant capital in manufacturing ventures which depend upon TCF's tariffs for viability -- and even if they do so, they will likely fail because of the quicksand they built their venture upon.

The math of the widget prices/costs/supply/demand don't even matter. It is the person of TCF which poisons the whole thing.
