28 April 1930 | A Czech Jewish girl, Hana Becková, was born in Prague.
Deported from #Theresienstadt to #Auschwitz on 15 May 1944. Registered in the camp. She did not survive.

came to American in early 1900s,
Think first to Texas, then to Missouri
I guess thats why I love Eastern European food.
I love Jewish delis in US,
Nothing better than sauerkraut and potato dumpling

(163,850 posts)I have to go quite a ways for an authentic Jewish diner but there's a very good market will excellent variety very close by.
I just read that Willie Nelson turned 92 today - he's just three years younger than Hana......really drives home how much life was lost........
