The litigators at these big firms do not normally do criminal defense work and defending rogue cops will not help the image of these firms
This is going to be fun to watch.

(36,763 posts)The agreements announced were to provide standard pro bono services, in line with what the law firms had already been providing. Not to provide free legal services which Trump could direct.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
They never should have capitulated - but any firm that was dumb enough to do that, without getting a written agreement detailing just what those pro bono services were isn't anyone I would trust with my personal legal needs.
