I just want to know how it broke out. 49 to 51? 60 to 40?
Can't find this in DU, Google search, or Google news.
Does anyone know?

(19,202 posts)And its not a vote between Carney and Polievre, they are just the party leaders. Canadians vote for the MP of the party they support.
Last I looked, the liberals had 43%/168 seats, and the cons had 41%/141 seats. They are still counting votes, and there are a few close races that could flip.
Looks like Carney will have to form a minority government with the help of the NDP (172 seats are needed for a majority).

(12,473 posts)Carney won his own seat. He is head of the Liberal Party which won, he is prime minister. The only people who voted for Carney are the people of his riding, Napesn. Those voting Liberal indirectly voted for Carney.
Barbara Bal, of the Conservative Party, is in second place with 23,600 votes (33.4%) and Shyam Shukla, of the New Democratic Party, is in third with 1,383 votes (1.96%).
