(297 posts)1. I believe the same standard tariff
He put on the entire globe. I think Netanyahu made a trip here trying to convince him to drop the tariff and was told no.

Israel Offers US Trade Concession in Effort to Avoid Tariff Pain
Story by Sam Dagher
Israel plans to make a major regulatory concession to Washington in a bid to get a better deal from President Donald Trump over tariffs, Economy and Industry Minister Nir Barkat said.
Israel told the US, its largest trading partner and closest ally, that it will ease import standards for US goods, the minister said, in line with a similar concession made to the European Union last year. That reform became known as Whats Good for Europe is Good for Israel.
------------------------------------------------
It comes as Israel seeks to make permanent a 90-day grace period on tariffs and avoid further straining an economy already hit by more than 18 months of war in Gaza. Trump has kept in place a baseline 10% rate during the negotiating period.
