Bessent on Fox and Friends: "We're doing bespoke deals."

This is how he is describing the deals trump is making on tariffs. In case you're not familiar, bespoke means "custom" roughly, and is often used in the clothing industry to refer to specially made men's suits, for example.

Bespoke suits are available for a price if you don't want to buy off the rack. Kind of makes you wonder, doesn't it?

I've been seeing/hearing those 2 words
very frequently over the last two years or so. Don't know if they are Britishisms that
"traveled" or what, but they do have that unmistakable air of pomposity.
Quite befitting in the case of Mr. Bessent, (she said pompously).

Throw out outlandish nonsense that can't quite be verified. If any such deals were imminent you can be damn sure they would be waving and screaming about them all day in front of every outlet.

It's one of those words that you see/read all the time in British media. I've rarely seen it used in the US.

There was a spinning/cycling class company in downtown Los Angeles called Bespoke. A play on the word spoke... get it?

for a Korean drama (I'm addicted to those) where the character was a tailor who made custom suits. The word was translated in the subtitles as bespoke, and since I love fashion and drama I was in hog heaven!

He is on Faux several times a day babbling. It is amazing that he rose to managing major investment funds with a BA in political science. He comes across a junk care salesman who will charge you 39% interest for the amazing car. He does this with a smile.
