More than 100 immigrants, allegedly in the country illegally, were detained in Colorado Springs after an overnight raid at what authorities described as an underground nightclub in a strip mall.
What was happening inside was significant drug trafficking, prostitution, crimes of violence, Jonathan C. Pullen, the Special Agent in Charge at the DEA Rocky Mountain Division, said at a news conference Sunday morning. We seized a number of guns in there.
Over a dozen active-duty military members were also at the club during the raid, and federal officials said some were working at the illicit operation. We had active-duty service members who were running security at the club and involved in some of these crimes, Pullen said.
Authorities also found drugs at the underground club, including cocaine and so-called pink cocaine, also known as tusi, Pullen said.

(18,427 posts)Authorities also found drugs at the underground club, including cocaine and so-called pink cocaine, also known as tusi, Pullen said.
The nightclub had been under surveillance by the DEA and partner agencies for a number of months, according to Pullen, who said authorities documented drug trafficking, prostitution, and the presence of alleged members from the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua, MS-13, and the Hells Angels.
I dont have the information about whether those members were there tonight, but were still working through a lot of that, because we have so many people in custody, Pullen said.
For the most part, I used to not think twice about whether or not to believe a Special Agent regarding any crime. But now it's not so clear.

(3,231 posts)local military installations have black lists containing forbidden establishments, as well as a code of conduct. this club, whether specifically listed or not clearly falls in the category of places that active duty should avoid.

(3,231 posts)simply being present at a forbidden establishment can be cause for court martial, reduction in pay, reduction in rank etc.
participation of active military is a separate issue than any potential immigration violations.

President Donald Trump praised the raid, saying on TruthSocial it had targeted some of the worst people in the US, whom he alleged judges are reluctant to deport.
Alongside a video of agents entering the building, President Trump wrote: A big Raid last night on some of the worst people illegally in our Country Drug Dealers, Murderers, and other Violent Criminals, of all shapes and sizes, and Judges dont want to send them back to where they came from. If we dont win this battle at the Supreme Court, our Country, as we know it, is FINISHED! It will be a Crime ridden MESS. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!
Colorado Springs Mayor Yemi Mobolade, who was elected as an independent, also lauded the effort on Sunday, saying: Criminal activity of any kind, from anyone, will not be tolerated in Colorado Springs. This investigation and the execution of these warrants are the result of clear evidence of serious criminal conduct.
The office of Colorado Governor Jared Polis, a Democrat, expressed support for cracking down on illegal drugs and firearms, writing in a statement to CNN affiliate KRDO: Governor Polis is focused on making Colorado safer for everyone, and that includes cracking down on illegal drugs and firearms. We await the details from the DEA and federal government on this action.

(14,160 posts)And I know those "oh so holy" Xtian Warriors (Think General Ripper in Dr. Strangelove) who have maintained their iron grip on the Air Force Academy will be Right On This moral failing in the Force.
It doesn't surprise me. Wherever the Xtian Nationalists have influence with Leadership, things like this are allowed to happen, because only White Christian Warriors are the Real People leadership needs to be concerned with the wellbeing of.
Brothels, Drug abuse, Trafficking of desperate darker skinned poor folks - that's barely past a level of gambling when it comes to crimes with Xtian Nationalists. It's just business.

(123,527 posts)Wonder how much this whole process is costing, and will continue. Active duty military as security guards. Just lovely.
Glad to see that drug trafficking was not the only kind mentioned.
And, of course, tangeranus had to boast about all the murderers and other violent criminals taken in, just spewing unverified crap, as per usual.
Is a member of this lawless admin, or an leo spokesperson moving their lips? I would not automatically assume that they are telling the truth.

(22,807 posts)Sounds like any after hours party that happen all over the country in any decent sized town after the bars close.
Actual gang members aren't throwing stuff like this, and they for sure aren't getting active duty military to run security. Doubt there was widespread drug use either.

With this administration telling blatant lies daily, I will wait and see.
