General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsThe Anti-Christ is not one person.
It is many.
They do not think good or positive thoughts. They think evil and negative thoughts all the time. There are many in the cult of the Anti-Christ. They conspire together to create chaos and havoc.
They scheme to lie, cheat, and steal. They have no empathy for their fellow man. They have their own reality that fits in their evil world.
They do not wish to compromise. They want power and dominion over every one.
There is a battle raging between the good versus evil. Evil leads to death and destruction. The good leads to peace and happiness.
I do believe this.
It is a battle that does not end. The loser fades into darkness until it is time for them to be born again, after a world of turmoil and suffering.
Surrender is the final compromise.
In my opinion, we are in the era of the Anti-Christ.

(113,646 posts)It just is.
There is good and evil in the world, whether or not we believe in any specific religion, in my opinion.
We are witnessing it every day.

(8,692 posts)15 Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheeps clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. 16 By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.

(148,975 posts)Since I don't believe in supernatural entities of any kind, I don't believe in Saviors and "Anti-Saviors." I look for simple, natural explanations for things. The human brain is complex and can act to benefit self and others or act to harm self and others. That is pretty much all you need to explain almost everything having to do with humans and their societies.
Just my opinion, of course. You're welcome to believe whatever you can believe.

(113,646 posts)Some are very positive and some are very negative.
Some are almost totally negative. They are incapable of thinking in a positive way. Every thought is a negative reaction.
When the positive force is weak, then the negative force is strong.
I tend to believe that the positive force is the most natural for a good life.

(148,975 posts)They tend to be a positive force most of the time, but can be shifted to the negative side with some stimuli. It takes more for some, but far less for others.
And, as you say, there is a significant number of negative people who are on the bad side of things most of the time. Learning to recognize and avoid those people is a valuable life skill.
I can't see the need for a supernatural force in this. The positive people take the positive aspects of their deities and such. The negative ones choose the negative aspect of those, too.
It's too easy to ascribe behavioral tendencies to an invisible force. That's not needed, and will often lead as astray.
Or so I believe, anyhow.

(113,646 posts)At least, a significant number are usually persuadable.
First, we should define the term "supernatural"? I suppose we all have our own understanding of what that means?
In my opinion, the "anti-Christ" term was adapted from the Bible. But it would likely exist even if the Bible did not, because some things are "invisible" and we follow them through our heart and our feelings. That may be a more spiritual perspective, rather than a "religious" one?
Also, I think we tend to think of ourselves as an individual, one person, independent, and unlike anyone else in the world. We are unique. But are we? Or are we all part of one - a humanity with all the good and bad qualities that we encounter on our journey.
Does "being invisible" mean that it does not exist?
