VA-GOV:Freedom Virginia Announces 2025 Candidate Endorsements; "Backs Candidates Who Will Advance a Bold Economic Agenda

RICHMOND, Va. — Freedom Virginia — a non-partisan, non-profit organization dedicated to building a Commonwealth where all families have the financial freedom to thrive — today announced it is endorsing candidates in the 2025 statewide and House of Delegates races.

Freedom Virginia co-Executive Directors Rhena Hicks and Ryan O’Toole released the following statement:

“We are proud to support these champions for economic security and look forward to working with them to help them win as we communicate to voters their dedication to making Virginia more affordable for the middle class. We believe these candidates have the ability to engage uncommitted voters and advance legislative priorities that will ensure Virginians can keep more of what they earn and get ahead. These candidates are committed to affordability and have shown they will uphold Freedom Virginia’s values of advancing economic security through policies like lowering prescription drug costs, ensuring paid leave and a higher minimum wage, increasing access to affordable housing, and delivering relief for hardworking people through a fairer tax system.”

Freedom Virginia is endorsing the following statewide candidates:

Governor: Fmr. Congresswoman Abigail Spanberger (D)
Lt. Governor: Senator Aaron Rouse (D)
Attorney General: Fmr. Delegate Jay Jones (D)
